Pax Hill was the home of Lord Baden-Powell, founder of the Boy Scouts. His original house stands in the grounds of the brand new nursing home, built in 2010. Separately, there is a modern unit providing residential care for those with dementia, referred to as the EMF unit (Elderly, Mentally Frail). The brand new nursing home is of an unusual circular design, giving every room views of the surrounding countryside or central garden courtyard. All the en-suite rooms have modern facilities with electrically operated profiling beds, flat screen TV's and wheelchair access everywhere. The tended gardens are accesible to all and the EMF wing has its own enclosed sensory garden.

The brand new nursing home provides care for different requirements in separate, self contained units. There is general nursing care, including end of life and convalescent care, nursing for dementia and mental illness and physical disability care. We are happy to provide short and long stay care and importantly, can provide a continuity of care for changing conditions.
