Overview of service

Coral House is a specialised service for people with both learning and physical disabilities.  Coral House is situated in Poole and is specially designed to support seven people with complex needs.

What it's like to live here

Service users who currently live at Coral House like to help with meal planning, cooking, cleaning, activity planning, socialising and gardening on a regular basis. Some of the people we support go on work placements and particularly enjoy this independence.

Surroundings

Coral House, comprising of 2 neighbouring bungalows, provides spacious accommodation for seven individuals. The service opened in 2007, originally for respite care, under the name of Ocean House. The respite care, along with the name Ocean House, moved to new premises in 2009, and became the residential service known as Coral House. The service is also well situated for all amenities with the local shops being located within easy walking distance. The service also benefits from a good sized garden with summer house and large patio for summer barbeques and outside dining.

We encourage the people we support to personalise their rooms to their own taste as well as to take an active role in the running of the home and to put forward their own ideas at the service user meetings – Your Voice.
