Langley House provides care and support for individuals with a learning disability and complex needs, which may include behaviour that is challenging.

Langley House is situated on the outskirts of the small market town of Wiveliscombe, formerly a grade II listed guest house which has now been sympathetically altered and adapted to meet the individual needs of the people who currently live here. Langley House is set in its own secure grounds of approximately eight acres, which comprise formal gardens, wildlife ponds, walks and recreational areas, walled gardens and a summer house.

The service itself is divided into three parts; the main house which is comprised of eight bedrooms, all of which are en-suite and adapted to meet individual needs, a large lounge, a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen and laundry room.

The service has an annexe which comprises of three en-suite bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, a laundry and a conservatory, which leads into a large walled garden.

There is also a one bed flat, which is adjacent to the main house and has a fully fitted kitchen/dining room, a bedroom, a lounge and a bathroom.

The service has a welcoming and warm environment and is staffed 24 hours a day by an enthusiastic and dedicated team who have an understanding of the individual needs of the people who live at Langley House.

At Langley House we support individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations. We have a comprehensive house activities programme, which includes external specialist services. We also actively encourage the use of other resources in the area and participation in the community. People are supported to live as independently as possible and to take part in all aspects of daily life.

At Langley House we believe the fundamental right to independence, rights, choice and social inclusion must be at the heart of our service delivery.
