We do everything we can to make people feel that they are still in control and living in a family atmosphere, while ensuring that our high standards of care are met. The 'family home' atmosphere has always been a key factor in the popularity of Birtley with residents now moving in who remember friends, parents or even grandparents in the Home!

AT BIRTLEY WE CARE ABOUT YOU - NOT JUST FOR YOU. NURSING CARE Birtley House Nursing Home is managed by a full-time Matron/Manager together with a Deputy Matron who are supported by a large team of Staff Nurses and Care Assistants. 24 hour support is provided in a professional and caring manner. SOCIAL CARE and ACTIVITIES Birtley House prides itself on a very varied activities programme. Full of imagination and thought the aim is to attract as many residents as possible to join in the structured activities or outings which take place 4 times a week. In addition, a day is kept free for more personal one-to-one care.
