Warmere Court is a spacious modern care home, opened in April 2009 in the West Sussex village of Yapton - a short stroll across public open space to the village shops and services An indoor “Gallery” runs the length of the building linking the wings to the facilities and making the home easy to get around. The home has four wings, each with only ten bedrooms. All residents bedrooms have full en-suite facilities comprising walk-in shower and W/C and each wing has its own dedicated lounge/diner and assisted facilities. Our friendly and experienced staff are here to help and support you in every aspect of your life. Our central philosophy is to see beyond the aging process, recognise the wider needs of the individual and provide support to enable them to remain as independent as possible. All beds are contracted to West Sussex County Council.

Moving into residential or nursing care can be a difficult decision but is often necessary for older people who can no longer manage on their own or with the help of relatives, friends or other carers. But in Shaw care homes our friendly professional staff are trained to make the transition hassle free and ensure that independence and the key components of daily living are maintained as much as possible. We aim to provide you with choices - over your personal care, what and when you eat, whether you want some peace and quiet or to join in a range of social activities. All this is provided in homely and comfortable surroundings - and with your own private bedroom. There are two types of care home, those which provide personal care only and those which also provide nursing care. All homes provide meals, laundry service and personal care such as help with washing, dressing, general mobility and day-to-day tasks. Nursing homes provide all of these services but additionally they employ registered, trained nurses who are able to provide health-related care. Government assistance with the cost of this nursing care is available to everyone and is not means-tested.
