Princess Christian Care Centre is a Nursing and Residential Care Home suitable for elderly people with a diagnosis of Dementia. It also has a wing specifically for Nursing residents that do not have Dementia. Set off a private road in leafy Bisley, the Home is close to Woking, Surrey.
Princess Christian was purpose-built in 2009 - a state-of-the-art Care Centre. The Home has stood on this land for almost 100 years, formerly as a Home for elderly war veterans. Rebuilt to look identical from the outside, but to modern building specifications, the interiors have been transformed to offer outstanding facilities for residents with Dementia or related illnesses.
The Home offers services in Nursing care for the elderly and both Nursing and Residential care for those with Dementia. We can also offer bespoke packages to suit all needs in respite, weekend and day breaks. Many of our services are flexible and can be built around the needs of you or your loved one.
All 91 bedrooms have en-suite facilities, optional flat screen TVs and telephone points. There are two lounges and two dining rooms, an onsite Hair Salon, a Cinema Room, a Sensory Room, a Physiotherapy Treatment Room, assisted bathing facilities and landscaped, secure grounds. The Home has been decorated and focused around Stirling university's research into creating Dementia specific environments that are both calming and stimulating as required, with the end result being a clear focus on maintaining and developing life skills among its residents.
Care is round the clock, with qualified Nurses on duty 24 hours a day. Highly trained care staff deliver care from a person-centered approach which makes each individual's capabilities the fulcrum around which their particular package is built.
