Finn Farm Lodge offers 24 hour support for 6 adults with learning disabilities, Autism, Epilepsy and challenging behaviour. We do everything we can to improve the health and wellbeing of the individuals we support and as a team we are focused on building positive outcomes for everyone.

Overview of Service

Finn Farm Lodge offers 24 hour support for 6 adults with learning disabilities, Autism, Epilepsy and challenging behaviour.

We have a very experienced team and ongoing training is offered to all staff. The staffing ratio varies depending on individual needs and is tailored accordingly. Everyone is involved in designing their own Person Centred Plans, with staff support.

Finn Farm Lodge promotes Craegmoor's communication strategy, "Your Voice", which encourages individuals, based on their preferred method of communication, to voice their views about the care and support they receive. Monthly meetings are held where individuals are able to represent the views and voices of others living at the Lodge. This is extended to area, divisional and national level.

What it's Like to Live Here

We support 6 people to get involved with a wide range of daily activities, which are based on each individual's needs; such as learning daily living skills. We support individuals to gain voluntary and paid work and to take part in many activities in the community.

Some other activities include; learning cooking skills, joining gardening groups, going fishing and going to college. Everyone has an individual activity planner, based on what they would like to do.

Surroundings

Finn Farm Lodge is situated in a very quiet area of Folkestone, with all amenities within a 20 minute walking distance. The town centre is also a 20 minute walk and offers a new shopping centre and plenty of cafes.

Service Facilities

All bedrooms are personalised and decorated in the colours chosen by each individual. Everyone helps devise the menu, which is also discussed at the monthly "Your Voice" meetings. Finn Farm Lodge has a garden that goes around the house. All can enjoy social events in the garden and many like to invite their friends and family along.
