St Martins is a purpose built care home with Nursing, situated near the centre of Camborne. The Local doctors surgeries, library, churches, and social clubs are within walking distance of the home. St Martins offers a very warm and friendly welcome, visitors and families are encouraged to visit at any time and to enjoy meals with relaxed and social setting. Prospective residents and their families are encouraged to visit the home at any time to meet staff and to talk about particular wishes and requests, prospective client’s are also encouraged to bring personal belongings with them to help them feel more at home. We have two resident cats our client’s take an active part in their care .We try whenever possible to accommodate client’s pets. We do have a number of visitors and staff who bring their pets into the home our client’s particularly enjoy these visits. St Martins has four lounges to choose from all have their own dining area. We have secure gardens with patio area’s we encourage our client’s to sit out and enjoy the sunshine . The gardens are easily accessible from the dining area’s, we are currently finalising designs for our sensory garden our clients and families have been instrumental in it’s design. Mealtimes are a vey important part of the day. We offer a variety of choices, our head cook spends time with client’s when compiling new menus to accommodate particular preferences.

We are very proud of the level of training the staff at St Martins have achieved, a high percentage have an N V Q level 2 in care many have completed level 3. Our staff have attended our training in Dementia care and have been assessed to a high standard. St Martins has registered nursing staff, covering the home at all times, they have a variety of experience and qualifications. Residents are encouraged to participate in the recreational activities offered at St Martins , these activities include gardening, craftwork, cooking ,writing , reminiscence sessions. St Martins has a variety of therapists that visit on a regular basis these include: Drama therapists Reflexologists/massage and Aromotherapists. General practitioners, opticians, dentists chiropodists attend the home regularly, the hairdresser is available 2-3 times a week. We know that the cost of care can be a concern to people, our fees are calculated on an individual basis following an assessment by our qualified staff. St Martins encourage the valueable input of family members from the time of assessment and throughout the residents stay with us.
