Westmoor View is a converted, grand country house located in the leafy residential district of Marton, Middlesbrough. The home is situated on a local bus route and the park is within walking distance.

The care we offer

Westmoor View provides high standards of nursing, convalescent and palliative care, including the Gold Standards framework and respite for older residents. The home also offers care to young physically disabled adults, those with Parkinson's disease, people who have had a stroke or who require palliative or terminal care. We employ registered nurses and highly trained care assistants to provide 24-hour professional care and support.

Manager information

The manager of Westmoor View is Caroline Pocklington, a Registered Nurse who has a wide range of experience gained across a variety of care settings, including as an army nurse, and in coronary and intensive care. Caroline is trained in elderly and palliative care and holds the Registered Managers Award.

Food

Meals are an important and enjoyable part of the day at Westmoor View, and our chef creates a wide range of nutritious dishes, prepared daily using fresh produce. All our menus are nutritionally balanced and special dietary or cultural needs are always catered for. Residents can choose where they eat their meals. Either in our traditional dining room with others, or in the privacy of their own room - whichever they prefer.

Activities

Our activities don’t just take place indoors. We arrange regular outings to the shopping centre, Middlesbrough theatre, the local garden centre or to the pub. A hairdresser visits the home each week and works in our on-site salon, and a mobile library also calls to the home for the convenience and enjoyment of residents.
