Wey Valley House is a two storey residential care home for older people owned and managed by The Abbeyfield Wey Valley Society and is situated in Farnham Surrey. It is within easy reach of Farnham town centre and is not far from a bus route and train station that serves the local area and London. It has a pleasant location by the side of the River Wey and there is access from the garden onto the Rivers tow path which leads into the town.

The home is set in pleasant gardens with a patio area overlooking the river, there are several large, mature trees, a number of interesting shrubs and flowering tubs all of which are well maintained and give a pleasant picture for residents to view.

The home was purpose built in 1985 and in 2008 was completely refurbished giving all rooms en-suites and providing a further lounge at the front of the property.

Wey Valley House is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Please click here to view our most recent assessment reports.

Accommodation

There are a total of 26 bedrooms, on the ground and first floors. All bedrooms are single rooms. 23 bedrooms are en-suite with basin and toilet, the other three rooms have hand basin, toilet and shower or bath, however this is reflected in the fees of these rooms. All rooms are well decorated and carpeted with free standing wardrobes and call bells in situ. All bedrooms have good natural light and views vary from bedroom to bedroom. The bedrooms have a good degree of privacy and residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with furniture, pictures etc.

As at all of our Homes, Wey Valley House has Wi-Fi for all our residents to use.

Staff

All our staff are employed under a rigorous process which enables us to find the best candidates for the job. All our care staff have, or at least are working towards an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care.

Wey Valley House’s staff are passionate and committed to providing the highest standards of care. Continuity of care is of utmost importance to us to ensure our Residents needs are met.

At Wey Valley House we understand the importance of good quality nutritious food as an important component for health and well-being in all our residents' lives.

Our food is all locally sourced and freshly prepared each day. Our chef provides a varied and balanced menu and happily caters for special diets and preferences, where requested. Fresh fruit and vegetables from our local suppliers are offered daily.

At Wey Valley House all dishes are cooked on the premises in our well-equipped and clean kitchen. Drinks and snacks are also served throughout the day. We believe that every meal should be an occasion.
